Weather Report: July 4th Weekend

The weather for the week will be averaging in the 80s, and rainfall, though sporadic, is to be expected through the July 4th weekend.

Luckily, the prediction for the fourth is rainfall up until the afternoon, so the night should be clear and perfect for enjoying a nice backyard barbeque or an outdoor fireworks show.

No matter the conditions expected this week there are still tons of things to enjoy in Mountain Park.

What is better on a rainy day than to spend time with yourself or with friends in a small cozy coffee shop overlooking a lake?

Consider checking out Alcove Coffeehouse this weekend. They have recently reopened their indoor seating making it the perfect place to read, get work done, or have nice conversations with family and friends.

Local Outdoor July 4th Celebrations:

Sparkle in the Park

North of Mountain Park, Lilburn City Park will be hosting an outdoor event, Sparkle in the Park, on Saturday, July 3rd from 5:30pm to 10:00pm.

The day will include fireworks, bounce houses, food trucks, vendors, face painting, and live music. Shuttle services will be provided from various parking lots. Everything you need to know can be found here.

Stone Mountain Fireworks

As always, Stone Mountain Park will be doing their Fantastic Fourth Fireworks Celebration from July 1st through July 5th.

Their show has been voted the “Best Place to see Fireworks in Atlanta” by Atlanta Journal-Constitution readers, a “Must-See Fireworks Show” by USA Today.
